HARDARSHAN SINGH SOIN

Hardarshan Singh (H.S.) Soin is a veteran of the Indian power sector with leadership positions over a 40-year period across public companies like Bharat Heavy Electronics Ltd (BHEL; $9 billion) & General Electric Company (UK). He is an alumnus of St. Stephens College (Delhi) & the University of Sheffield in the UK (Electrical Engineering).

As the Great-grandson of Baba Lehna Singh & Great-great-grandson of ‘Sardar’ Hari Singh Nalwa (legendary Commander-in-chief of the Sikh Khalsa Empire & Governor of Kashmir, Peshawar, Hazara), Soin founded Baba Lehna Singh Foundation (reg. Baba Lehna Singh Charitable Trust) in 2000 to further his family’s long-standing dedication to serving the underserved.

Under his guidance, BLS Foundation has over the years successfully organized initiatives across verticals such as Healthcare, Education, Sports, Disaster Relief, Water Sanitation, & Economic Empowerment, etc. Soin lives in Delhi with his family & is passionate about education, religious seva, & social service.
