WHO WE ARE & WHAT WE DO

Introduction

The lack of focus on public-private efforts for rural India has led to a multitude of issues:

  • Broken rural education system

  • Rampant unemployment & under-employment

  • Lack of access to quality healthcare, financial services, & infrastructure

  • Poor food security

Since our launch in 2000, Baba Lehna Singh (BLS) Foundation has been working to address the most critical problems facing India- one village at a time. We leverage our partnerships with renowned NGOs/foundations, education, healthcare, & religious institutions to organize-

  1. Donation Drives & Grants

  2. Education & Skill-Development workshops

  3. Free Mobile Clinics & Checkups

  4. Volunteering Programs

  5. Homeless Shelters

  6. Soup Kitchens (langar)

  7. Disaster Rehabilitation efforts

Vision 2030

There's no cohesive ecosystem in place that fosters social entrepreneurship while providing resources to turn business & social impact ideas into scalable enterprises.

Using a bottom-up approach, we aim to support 500 mission-driven individuals building sustainable & scalable enterprises to create widespread impact. We're in the process of setting up an incubator to further our commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)- laid out by the United Nations in 2015.

We invite like-minded organizations, academics, & individuals to join us in our vision to drive innovation & help build an Indian society: that's more EQUITABLE + INCLUSIVE.
